Normal Tankers

Template:Infobox character

These are wagons that come in black, white or yellow and have nothing written on the side. They are used for fuel, milk or tar.

Jam wagons

Template:Infobox character

Jam wagons (known as jelly wagons in North America) carry jam. They are painted dark red with "JAM" on the side in green, although some are silver with no words on the side at all.

Gordon had an accident with them once.

Cream tankers

Template:Infobox character

These wagons are white with milk churns pictured on the side.

Raspberry tankers

Template:Infobox character

These wagons are pink with raspberries pictured on the sides.

Oil tankers

Template:Infobox character

There are many different types of oil, from petrol for power cars right down to thin oil for lubricating machinery. The oil tankers are black with "OIL" in white on the side. There are also a number of older, dirtier oil tankers that can be seen around Sodor. The utmost care must be taken with these in case of fire, as James once found out when his tankers caught fire one day.

Toffee tankers

Template:Infobox character

The toffee wagons are bright orange. One appeared in the tenth season episode "Sticky Toffee Thomas".

Gunpowder wagons

Template:Infobox character

These oddly-shaped trucks transport gunpowder around the Skarloey Railway. Because gunpowder is so dangerous, engines must take the utmost care when shunting these. Gunpowder vans are usually put in the middle of trains. They are painted black with "D. FUSIT" on the side in white and "GUNPOWDER" underneath that in red.
