Clive Andrew Mantle (born on 3 June 1957 in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England) is an English actor who provided voices for Thomas & Friends during Tale of the Brave and the eighteenth series. He has made numerous appearances in British television series including "Holby City", "Casualty", "One Foot in the Grave", "The Vicar of Dibley", "White Van Man", "Sherlock", "Game of Thrones", and many others.

Trivia

  • Prior to joining the voice cast, he played the role of a headteacher at specialist boarding school named John Havers in the 2006 British Drama film After Thomas - a film which involved an autistic boy receiving a golden retriever named after Thomas the Tank Engine. Scenes from certain episodes of the Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends television series also appeared in the film, along with a number of toys, books, videos, a bed duvet and poster.
  • He once won £100,000 on the British game show Beat the Chasers, a spin-off of The Chase. The latter has had questions related to Thomas the Tank Engine a few times on the game show.
