Shane Dooiney (Sudric for The Old Man) is a Sudrian mountain located just north of Shen Ven, its twin peak. The Culdee Fell Railway's No. 5 engine is named after it.
In the television series, the Sodor Slate Quarry and Blue Mountain Quarry are both located along the bottom of the mountain. The Skarloey Railway also has a station near the bottom of the mountain in the television series.
